Mid Term Assignment (New Due Dates!!!!!!!!)

·     Please read the following info (which was sent to you via email as well):

             NEW MIDTERM DUE DATES!!!

           For your Mid Term Project, you will be creating a Cover Image, meant either for comics, magazines, Gaming (table top or digital) or DVD. The cover theme will involve the following: You will be developing a contemporary take on a classic Greek Myth or God (information will be provided with this sheet, but research is also recommended.) You will take elements of the myth and create images that connect to the concept to one of the following themes:

-         Slapstick Comedy

-         Sci-Fi Horror

-         Film Noir/Suspense

-         Slice of Life

·        Here is what I want: I want you to create an image that sells the concept you are trying to develop in a way that connects with the medium/format you are trying to sell the concept piece (research either publications or media cartridges to understand the look and feel of what you are emulating.) You are to develop a title for the concept, logo work, and the full design of the image, keeping in mind the format you are trying to emulate.

·        Deliverables:

-         November 4th, 2014(already posted): I want to see at least 5 ideas towards concept sketches and takes on the idea you want to pursue (can be multiple takes and they don’t have to reflect each other) (Digital presentation).  (20pts)

-         November 13^th (Thursday) , 2014: I want to see three cover comps (loosely drawn ideas for the final cover showcasing three different options towards the cover). From here, the final cover will be formulated (Digital presentation). (30pts)

-         November 18^th (Tuesday), 2014: Final cover due; Cover will be produced to 11X17 measurements, printed, and reviewed in front of class (should be mounted for presentation). (50pts)

Please mind all deadlines, as they each will constitute the full 100pts grade. No late or incomplete work will be accepted.
